12 Therefore, as God's chosen people, holy and dearly loved, clothe yourselves with compassion, kindness, humility, gentleness and patience. 13Bear with each other and forgive whatever grievances you may have against one another. Forgive as the Lord forgave you. 14And over all these virtues put on love, which binds them all together in perfect unity.
15 Let the peace of Christ rule in your hearts, since as members of one body you were called to peace. And be thankful. 16Let the word of Christ dwell in you richly as you teach and admonish one another with all wisdom, and as you sing psalms, hymns and spiritual songs with gratitude in your hearts to God. 17And whatever you do, whether in word or deed, do it all in the name of the Lord Jesus, giving thanks to God the Father through him.

12 Vậy anh em là kẻ chọn lựa của Đức Chúa Trời, là người thánh và rất yêu dấu của Ngài, hãy có lòng thương xót. Hãy mặc lấy sự nhân từ, khiêm nhường, mềm mại, nhịn nhục, 13 nếu một người trong anh em có sự gì phàn nàn với kẻ khác thì hãy nhường nhịn nhau và tha thứ nhau: như Chúa đã tha thứ anh em thể nào, thì anh em cũng phải tha thứ thể ấy. 14 Nhưng trên hết mọi sự đó, phải mặc lấy lòng yêu thương, vì là dây liên lạc của sự trọn lành.
15 Nguyền xin sự bình an của Đấng Christ cai trị trong lòng anh em, là bình an mà anh em đã được gọi đến đặng hiệp nên một thể; lại phải biết ơn. 16 Nguyền xin lời của Đấng Christ ở đầy trong lòng anh em, và anh em dư dật mọi sự khôn ngoan. Hãy dùng những ca vịnh, thơ thánh, bài hát thiêng liêng mà dạy và khuyên nhau, vì được đầy ơn Ngài nên hãy hết lòng hát khen Đức Chúa Trời. 17 Mặc dầu anh em nói hãy làm, cũng phải nhân danh Đức Chúa Jêsus mà làm mọi điều, nhờ Ngài mà tạ ơn Đức Chúa Trời, là Đức Chúa Cha.
